Equipment Shipment and Data Center Visits -
For security of our customers, there are certain procedures that you will need to be acquainted with when visiting or shipping equipments to our facilities. We have outlined the procedures that we think would be helpful for you to know.
1. Visiting the Data Center
- Customers can obtain physical access and visit the data center at anytime-- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- To ensure security of customer equipments, a technician escort will be required for visiting customers. In order to ensure that an escorting technician is on-site at the facility to meet you, please give us a call at 617-849-7278 at least one hour in advance prior to your visit. You can also contact us by email in advance to schedule a date of your visit.
- A government issued photo ID such as driver's license will be needed for security verification purposes. Building security will need to check your ID before letting you into the facility, so please be sure to have it with you when visiting the data center.
2. Shipping Equipments to Our Data Center
- Customers can ship their equipments directly to the data center prior to installation.
- For security reasons, customers must notify our support department by calling 617-849-7278 or by email prior to shipping so that we can create a ticket to track the progress of your shipment and notify our shipping and receiving (S&R) department. S&R may reject your shipment if we have not been previously notified of incoming shipment. Please provide us with carrier name and tracking number if you have that information available to you.
- Please note that we are not responsible for any lost packages or delays due to our S&R department rejecting your package because we were not notified of incoming shipment. Procedures on package delivery exception in the event of an S&R reject is entirely up to your shipping carrier.
